So we slept on the decision if we should buy the house we saw yesterday. We thought that we will drive first to Rochester taking care of our business, then driving in a circle down to the south east of Ohio, then south west and end up again here in the northwest. So pulled up the jacks, hitched up the car and on the road we went. We headed up north onto the toll road 80/90 going into Toledo and then Cleveland. We figured that we would make it all out to Cleveland, then park there the RV at the Lake Geneva Resort and then drive the next day with the car on to Rochester, spend the night there, take care of business and then drive back to Lake Geneva outside Cleveland where the RV was parked. Before we left though while I got everything ready to go David made a bunch of phone calls and low and behold, the problem with our property in Rochester was dissolved. So we had to rethink our tactics. Okay, so we drive form Toledo south and park somewhere in the middle of Ohio so we could take day trips to the different areas.
While I was frantically looking for an other RV park and we just crossed over the state line into from Indiana to Ohio we got a phone call from the agent who showed us the house yesterday that the listing office got an offer on that house. The house is bank owned since the owner of it got into default with payments. The listing agent won't be able to submit the offer though till Monday when the bank will be open.
So David and I had to do some seriously quick thinking, to buy or not to buy and we came up with TO BUY! So checked the map again and would you believe it we were about a mile away from the exit we would have to take to go to the house. I thought we had long passed it but no, we were right there. Of the freeway we went, called our agent that we want to say "we do" and rolled back to our beloved house. We wandered around the place for a bit, taking in all the beauty and knew that this is it. So after more phone calls we lined up a home inspector for tomorrow because they are all College Football fanatics here in Ohio and no REAL man is working on Saturday through football season. After that we will have a better idea what we should offer. So tomorrow is the big day and we have to just have a better offer then the other buyer. Please cross your fingers for us and for the Swiss: Druck da Dumae!!!
Now of course we had no RV park so found a Walmart in this town and camped out here. Check out the pictures on yesterday's log for some of the house and here are some more.
I love all the massive heaters! Trina works as a good size indicator of just how massive the barns are. I bet she will love living there. But I am worried that the animals will get out on to the street - make sure you guys put up a GOOOOOD fence/wall along the road.
