Started our adventure in Michigan. Had a bit of rain for an hour or so and that was it. It is getting a bit cooler though. We went to look at four houses but really only liked one but that a lot. It was an almost new Amish farm with 3 barns, a show room for the furniture they are making there and the wood workshop which was the size of a 3 bedroom house with kitchen. Beautiful house, awesome land, barns for David to play in, everything perfect but....no electricity! There were some funny nightstands with a car battery inside and a lamp hooked up to it. Doesn't really make sense not to have electricity but use it with modern car batteries. Anyhow this house is still a possibility because the Amish seller would wire the whole house for free since his son is an electrician. Silly, an Amish electrician and they don't use electricity? Well as the Realtor explained, the Amish are high in demand as contractors since they are known for their good workman's ship. So i guess some of them had to learn to be electricians!
Another long day coming home around 7pm!
