We made an offer!!! We went out to the property this morning to meet with the home inspector. Friends and Family, I'm in love with this house. For about 3 hours I roamed around the house and the property while David, like a real rancher, walked up the fence and inspected the property. The inspector found the place in basically good condition, the important stuff was all sound except some plumbing and stuff. I myself started in my mind to place furniture and remodel my studio. I also had a chance to skype with Michelle thanks to my laptop and my Verizon Internet stick so gave her a tour through the house and the property and of course the barn. We got an approval from her which really cemented the decision to buy!!!
We then left the property to head back to the town of Defiance(39000 population) which is about 7 miles from the house to roam a bit since we couldn't meet the realtor till 7pm. Cruising the main street we saw an open antique store which was the only store in town who had an "OPEN" sign on the door. Be warned, antique stores are my down fall. Upon entering we were faced with 3 old beautiful church pews and an antique hall bench screaming: buy me, buy me! So we did, actually only 2 of the pews and the hall bench because they will be perfect in the foyer of my house, which I don't own....YET! Then we also found this old school house bell which just would look so awesome in the front yard mounted on a post so we had to get that one too...for a house we don't own yet!!! The stuff was so inexpensive compared to San Diego it was a joke. And the great thing was that the owner of the store could tell us from which local church the pews were and from which old school house the bell came from.
Now don't even think that we haul the stuff back to San Diego but the good man at the store will store it for us till we are back in January to move into the house we don't even have an accepted offer yet. But you know, we feel so sure about that place that it will happen, I am so confidant.
So at 7pm we signed the papers and now I need you all to send good thoughts our way that we will get that house. There is another offer on it but our realtor thinks we have an edge on them because we will have an all cash offer, and cash talks,... it says goodbye!
If you read this far please check out some of the older posts since I attached some more pictures. We are visiting with friends tomorrow and the next day and I hope to spend some time on the computer on a more reliable Internet and power (remember, we are still in the Walmart parking lot and run on the generator for power) so I can attach more pictures. There are enough for every post so in a couple of days you might want to check out all the posts just for the pictures.
Got to go, looks like my computer battery is soon powering down.
Love you all, don't forget to send good vibes our way so you will be able to visit us in this wonderful house.
