David and I went to Napoleon which is about 20 minutes from us, where we stored our motor home. We went to get the mattress off the bed there and also got the dishes, pots and pans and other necessities to get us by till the moving van arrives. Thanks good there was also a coffee maker and coffee and canned food.
When we returned Michelle was already busy lining the kitchen shelves and making house!
Off we went again to the DMV because Michelle needed a Ohio licence which she can convert in France to a french license without taking the test. They don't accept California licenses for conversion, wonder why. Well the DMV was closed so on we went to the "Fifth Third Bank" (what a name!) to open bank accounts for all of us, then to the tourist office to get informed about where to get TV hook up, Internet, telephone, trash pick up, news paper and so on. We feel like we are on another planet, there is nothing familiar here! Though everybody is so helpful here and they spend their time to explain things and make you so welcome, very refreshing! Then we went to the antique store to pick up our church benches we bought on our last trip, but again, they were closed. Mind you, most small businesses close here at 5 pm. Very new to us for sure. So went home to continue lining cabinet shelves while David was shoveling the snow around the house. FUN!
